On 26 September, ORGANIC VOL 2 brings minimal house and deep underground grooves to Schall und Rauch in Basel. The DJ booth sits in the middle of the dancefloor, with the crowd moving around it. Basel-based Plazma artist Gabor ZEZE will play a live set and a DJ set, drawing on the rhythm and texture at the heart of his Organic sound. Oscar Zillini makes his Basel debut with a DJ set moving between deep and intimate minimal house. Come close, settle into the groove, and let the night unfold.

Featuring Gabor ZEZE

Gábor ZEZE makes his debut on Plazma with Organic, an EP shaped from a live performance originally presented at a Plazma event. Emerging from a hardware-driven set built around improvisation and limitation, the release captures the strongest moments of that performance and refines them into a cohesive studio statement. What began as a live exploration evolved into a focused body of work that preserves the immediacy of the stage while gaining depth through careful arrangement.

At its core, Organic is groove-led and rhythmically precise. Saturated synth basslines and FM textures intertwine with tightly structured percussion, while everyday recordings from Gábor’s surroundings are transformed into subtle, organic layers. These field textures add warmth and movement, blurring the line between environment and synthesis.

The EP moves confidently between structure and flow. There is restraint in its design, yet emotion quietly shapes its progression. Technical clarity and instinct coexist, resulting in a sound that feels both deliberate and fluid — a refined minimal statement that reflects a mature and process-driven artistic approach.
