There’s something special about music born in the moment — raw, instinctive, and unfiltered. Now that “Organic” is out on all major music platforms, it feels like the right time to take a closer look at how Gabor ZEZE captured exactly that energy, transforming a live performance into a refined and deeply immersive debut on Plazma.

Originally presented during a Plazma event, the project began as a hardware-driven live set shaped by improvisation and limitation. What followed was a careful distillation process — selecting the most resonant moments and reshaping them into a cohesive EP that preserves the immediacy of the stage while gaining clarity and depth in the studio. As Gabor himself reflects, “the strongest moments from that set deserved to be preserved and brought together in an EP.”

Concept of the EP

“Organic” is rooted in groove, but guided by feeling. Across the EP, saturated synth basslines and FM textures weave through tightly structured percussion, creating a sound that feels both controlled and fluid. Subtle field recordings — fragments of Gabor’s everyday surroundings — are folded into the mix, adding warmth and movement while blurring the boundary between the natural and the synthetic.

There is a quiet discipline running through the release. Nothing feels excessive, nothing rushed. Instead, the EP unfolds with restraint, allowing rhythm and texture to breathe. This balance between technical precision and emotional awareness is central to Gabor’s approach:
“When I produce music, I let myself be guided by my feelings… it is a meditative process, more a journey of exploration than a clearly defined path.”

The Tracks

Each track on “Organic” reflects a different angle of this process-driven mindset.

The title track “Organic” sets the tone with its steady groove and evolving textures, establishing a foundation that feels both grounded and alive. “Flow” leans further into movement, subtly shifting patterns and rhythmic interplay that mirror the improvisational roots of the EP.

On “Body & Mind“, the connection between physical rhythm and emotional depth becomes more pronounced — a track that feels introspective without losing its drive. Closing the EP, “Shape” refines the journey into its most distilled form, where minimal elements interact with precision, leaving space for interpretation and immersion.

About Gabor ZEZE

Based in Basel (Switzerland), Gabor ZEZE operates within the minimal house spectrum, with a strong focus on groove, structure, and detailed sound design. His workflow revolves around hardware instruments, using tools like the Digitakt and Digitone to build ideas through live jams before refining them in the studio.

His music is deeply tied to process and perspective. Rather than chasing outcomes, he emphasizes patience and trust in evolution:
“Learning to trust the process is essential… with consistency and patience, things fall into place step by step.”
This mindset is reflected not only in his productions but also in his live performances, which he approaches as narratives unfolding in real time.

Last year (2025), he presented this philosophy during the Sihl x Plazma In-Store session in Zurich — an intimate setting that highlighted the clarity and intention behind his sound.
